Outsourced Accounting Manager

We currently seek an Outsourced Accounting Manager to join our Reston, VA headquarters.

Ideal candidates will possess 4-6 years of recent public or corporate accounting and an interest in providing outsourced accounting and financial management services to our not-for-profit clients.  This position will include some general accounting consulting and special project work as well.

Our outsourced accounting clients are primarily not-for-profit organizations that are based in metropolitan Washington.  They range from charitable foundations to membership associations. Responsibilities include:

• Manage multiple outsourced accounting client engagements
• Supervision of engagement staff
• Production and review of monthly financial statements
• Coordination/assistance of client audits
• Presentation of financial results to client management and/or boards
• Communication with client on engagement matters
• Review of payroll and tax records with client personnel
• Consultation with clients on non-recurring transactions and accounting issues
• Client development, marketing and networking
• Practice and client management

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Licensed CPA
• 4-6 years of related experience in not-for-profit accounting and/or auditing
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proven client service and supervisory skills
• Pro-active, self-motivated, entrepreneurial
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Solomon & QuickBooks
